Written in pencil in bottom right corner 'Margaret Holmes For Art Mistress' Certificate, Group I'. Work stamped on the bottom 'Work accepted for certificate', and a label underneath that which reads 'For 3RD Gr. CertE (1890.)' . Archive label on top right identifies artist.
